History

Information Technology High School opened in 2003 and graduated its first class in 2007. The school has had many principals.
The first principal, Jeffrey Levin, was let go after the first year of operation. Nora Lee Montemerano was then brought in as principal. After one year at the helm, Ms. Montemerano took almost an entire year off because of a medical situation. During that time, (the third year of the school), Assistant Principal Joseph Reed took over and acted as principal. Ms. Montemerano returned towards the end of that third year.
Ms. Montemerano served as principal during the schools fourth year, but did not make it through the fifth year. She resigned in April and did not complete the fifth year. Dr. Nancy Casella was brought in as Interim Acting principal to finish the schools fifth year and replace Ms. Montemerano. Dr. Casella was awarded the job as principal for the schools sixth year and served as principal for the schools seventh year as well. Dr. Casella was relieved of her position about 3 months into the schools eighth year. A new Interim Acting principal is now in place.

Laptops

Laptops were promised to students as of 2004. They were given to selected students based on faculty preference then the laptops were taken back.

Senior Prank/Class of '09

With the promotion of Dr. Casella to Principal, many of the schools students were angered by the changes that were occurring throughout the school. Many seniors, who were outraged that many of their senior activities were changed, struck back against the school during their senior prank on the last day of school.

In the middle of the school day, a group of seniors released boxes full of Butterflies, and for the next several minutes students began to run out of their classrooms to see what was going on. As many of the deans and security were distracted, another group of students began to cover staircase railing and walls of the staircases with ketchup. The deans began to send students back to their classes in an attempt to retain order. in a last attempt to create chaos in the school, a small group of students released several homemade stink bombs throughout the entire school. When this happened the deans began to round up students in the hallway to find out who was responsible, but the students in charge of the chaos were never found. The bottle which held the main stink bomb was found in a classrooms garbage bin, leaving no evidence as to who released it. On top of this, there were condoms found on door knobs throughout the school and the toilets were flooded with tennis balls. The seniors were dismissed early from school to avoid any further pranks. However underclassmen had their own plans in mind to follow up on the Senior's prank. The whole school was let out 2 to 3 hours before actual dismissal time.

Teachers and other may want to deny what happened, call it lame and unorthodox or an exaggeration. But there is proof, Class of 09 set the bar, and all of it's underclassman know it as well as the people in charge of the school. People are not to fear their government, Governments should fear their people, and this was made clear.
