The Insaints were an American punk rock

 group from San Francisco, CA, originally fronted by controversial vocalist Marian Anderson from 1988-1994. Seven years later, in 2001, Anderson died of a heroin overdose at the age of 33.

In 2005, the group reformed under the same name with Eva Von Slut as its new vocalist.

Post-breakup

Marian played guitar and sang backups in the band the Ritalins with John Kiffmeyer(Al Sobrante)drums, Rotten Ron Ready bass, and Josh Donald vocals. Lasted almost 2 years and every show was chaos.  group in 2001, called the Thrillkillers. The group's first and last performance was in September 2001. Marian Anderson's death occurred a little over one month later on November 4, 2001. She was survived by her daughter, Hannah Lolly Anderson.

On November 9, 2004 the six tracks from the EP, along with the four other outtakes from the 1993 EP recording and nine additional live tracks, were released as a full length album called Sin of Saints. The proceedings from the album sales at present go to Anderson's daughter.
