Closing

When the 2010-2011 school year began for Boston Public Schools, Boston's debt rose to $60 million. Superintendant Carol R. Johnson chose to close underperforming schools throughout the city to lower the amount. The Social Justice Academy (SJA) and The Engineering School (TES) ended up getting closed following with several other schools. The Community Academy for Science and Health (CASH) was relocated to the old Cleveland School building located at 11 Charles Street in Dorchester.
