On September 7, 1996, 2Pac was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting. He died a week later on September 13, at the age of 25. Fatal had gone back to New Jersey

Only a couple of months later, on November 10, Yaki Kadafi was murdered at the age of 19. Having lost two of his friends within two months, Fatal decided that his rap career was more dangerous than the drug dealing. He went back to selling drugs again, a decision that would later have a great impact on his career and life. After months of chaos, he decided to sign with Relativity Records
