They are mainly found in MP, Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Legends

According to a legend, the Kshatriays of Lad (Gujarat-Rajasthan border region) were initiated by a Jain monk Hemchandra (not to confused with Hemachandra Suri of Patan).

Khedbrahma, where an ancient step-well (bawadi) exists, is sometimes regarded to be the original center of the Humads. According to a legend, each statue in the step-well is associated one Humad clan.,

One branch of visa humad is sojitra sambha visa mevada digmber jain. They migrated from Bhatevar Rajsthan to Sojitra district Anand at time of muslims attack on Mevad. They spread in 64 villages of Charotar, Vakal and Kanam areas in Gujarat. Main centre of Panch at Sojitra. There are 4 temples at Sojitra; 1.SHRI NEMINATHJI[MAIN] 2.SHRI SHANTINATHJI 3.SHRI CHINTAMANIPARSWAPRABHU 4.SHRI PARSWANATHJI AND SHRI SASANDEVIMATAJI [KULDEVI OF VISA MEVADA].
