toy company in 1975 and issued in the UK by the toy company Denys Fisher. The Hugo doll looked like a man
, and came with a makeup kit, wig, glasses, and several different glue-on accessories. He was housed in a large box showing him in different disguises, and had a soft rubber head and plastic hard hands. His arms was stuffed with cotton wool, however, the UK version had plastic arms. The puppet worked with a string inside his body that the player pulled to make his arms move . The toy's popularity fell off after the 1970's. Hugo is now collected on the secondary collectors market and commands a high price.
Finding a set with all the accessories is difficult, since the special non toxic glue (as stated in the instruction booklet) used to stick his disguises is usually dry after the time passed. Both the Kenner and Denys fisher boxes are identical except for the logos of each of the toy companies.
