and three friends (referred to as "Allie," "Lisa," and "Kirsten") who travel to Florida after a hurricane with very little money and the intention to find a boat. Even with almost no experience, they manage to find a hurricane-wrecked boat, restore it into passable shape, and sail it from Florida to Haiti.
