. The town is located approximately 29 kilometres (18 mi), by road, north of Kasese, the largest town in the Rwenzururu sub-region. The coordinates of the town are: 00° 17' 21N, 30° 10' 41E (Latitude: 0.2890; Longitude: 30.1780).

Population

In 2010 the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS), estimated the population of the town at 28,700. In 2011, UBOS estimated that the mid-year population of Hima at 29,700.
