Route description

WIS 137 begins at a four-way intersection with US 2 and a local road in eastern Bayfield County west of Ashland. It heads east from here, then turns northeast until it reaches a Canadian National railroad track. The highway turns east here to parallel the railroad, which it follows until its eastern terminus. After turning east, WIS 137 crosses South Fish Creek and enters Ashland County and the City of Ashland. The highway becomes Golf Course Road within Ashland; the name comes from the Chequamegon Bay Golf Club, which the road passes. WIS 137 intersects WIS 112, locally known as Sanborn Avenue, at a four-way intersection in Ashland. It becomes 6th Street after WIS 112 and continues east until its eastern terminus at a four-way intersection with WIS 13.
