. The student body consists of approximately 1800 students. Involved in WSSAC Secondary Schools for sports affiliation. Their track team has won two State Titles. One in 1995, the other 2009. Hedgesville High School's sports teams are called the "Eagles" and school colors are old gold and blue. The Eagles have had an outstanding wrestling, track, and basketball team over the years. Hedgesville's biggest sports rivalry is with the Martinsburg High School Bulldogs.
Hedgesville's Marching Band is very successful but often does not receive recognition of their achievements. Their motto is "at least we win something."
