Brandishing a unique blend of West Coast melody with East Coast fury, Heckle were somewhat reminiscent of the early New York

 and DC hardcore bands, yet the band brought a fresh new perspective to this old school format. Formed in the summer of 1994 by guitarist Steve Cunningham, bass player Chris Whalen, guitarist Eric Arikian and vocalist Chris Baglieri, Heckle (briefly named "Lick") found original drummer Tim Caspare to complete the group.
