Whilst the station has two platforms (as the site of one of the passing loop
s on this section), most trains use platform one as it is adjacent to the entrance and ticket office.
The station is staffed during the daytime and has toilet facilities, a newspaper kiosk, ticket office and a station buffet.
From a bus stop outside the station, buses are available to St David's

. There is also a Taxi rank directly outside the station.
Most trains normally use the former up platform, although the down platform is still open. Haverfordwest has won many awards, including the Anglo Irish Best Station Award in 1992. The station was refurbished in 2002 and officially re-opened on 25 April 2002.
