It is situated in the centre of the town, north of the roundabout on the B2149 near the Town Hall and police station.

More recently the College has had a series of Portakabins erected around the site.

Controversies

In March 2007 there were plans for staff at Havant College to go on strike after Principal John McDougall cut ten management positions and forced some staff to take lower paid roles as he claimed there were "too many chiefs and not enough indians." In May over 50 teachers went on strike citing the National Pay Agreement for teachers.

Facilities

There are places for the students to use computers, there are two main social areas (the Refectory and the Terrace Bar) and the library offers study desks. Students may purchase food

 from the Refectory. The college VLE website, which runs on the Open Source software "Moodle", contains academic resources and news.

A Level results

In 2007 around 600 students who completed their two-year academic and vocational courses achieved a 98% pass rate. 32 subjects had a 100% pass rate. 47% of students achieved grades A and B, 4 out of 5 students achieved A to C.

In 2008 A 97% pass rate was recorded among students who completed their course, with the majority of students completing achieving A to C grades at A Level. 48% of students achieved A – B grades. 50% of subjects had a 100% pass rate. The AS Level results were slightly lower with a pass rate of 87%. Over 54% of these students achieved grades A-C and just over a third were awarded the top grades A-B.
