Encyclopedia
Hanging Doll are a British orchestral gothic metal gothic metal band from Birmingham. The members include Sally Holliday (Vocals/Songwriter, Dan Leddy(Guitars/Vocals), Alex Cooper (Drums), Aryan Amoli (Keyboards) and Kev Wilson (Bass/Vocals) together they have produced some of the finest romantic metal symphonies in Britain.

The current line-up of Hanging Doll form after Dan, (a classically trained guitarist with a degree in classical music) and Alex, who had been working together since 2002, invited Sally, a professional photographer, to take pictures of an early version of the band in 2004. Sally suggested herself as vocalist should the need arise, a chance which they jumped at when their then singer quit in 2005, shortly after they had recruited Kev on bass and Aryan on keyboards.

Hanging Doll have made a name for themselves in the Birmingham, West Midlands rock scene with their debut album Reason & Madness.
Sally Holliday’s silky, sweeping voice soars above glorious classical power metal guitar solos, haunting gothic keyboards and a massive, crunching rhythm section, effortlessly creating an irresistible British gothic rock concoction.

They are currently working on a new album 'The Sacred and Profane' which will be released some time during 2012 along with a video for one of the new tracks 'Carnival of Sin'.

The previous album 'Reason & Madness' is released on the record label Phoenix Music [UK] Ltd / Cargo Records,
