Background

The band recorded the album between January 2010 and February 2011 at Ball State University. Many of the tracks were originally recorded as demos which the band decided to keep as they felt they had spontaneity. They did, however, have some remixed by for the studio album.

Release and reception

Hang On was released on April 30, 2011 in the United States. Initial reviews noted the band's debut success including Rob F of Leicester Bangs who says "they’re right on track for some sort of breakthrough, and “Hang On
