HELP University is a private university in Malaysia and is located in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

It was founded by its President, Dr Paul Chan Tuck Hoong, and CEO Mrs Chan-Low Kam Yoke.

HELP first offered twinning programmes with the University of Glamorgan, Wales, United Kingdom, and the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. It currently offers twinning programmes from the University of East London, United Kingdom, and has numerous partnerships with various universities in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, and in Europe.

HELP University is a subsidiary of HELP International Corporation Berhad www.hic.com.my ,a public listed company on Bursa Malaysia.

Faculty of Behavioural Sciences

The Faculty of Behavioural Sciences at HELP University College houses the [Department of Psychology]http://www2.help.edu.my/helpuni/cfp/, Centre for Youth Formation and Leadership, CareerSense@HELP, and the Centre for Psychological Counselling Services (CPCS) which offers services to students, staff and members of the public.

The Faculty of Behavioural Sciences is the largest in Southeast Asia for a private educational institution. HELP University was the first private educational institution to offer a degree in Psychology in Malaysia. Its origins first started in the mid-1990s when the university college realised that students needed counselling and psychological services, and employed counsellors so that students may approach them for help. From then onwards, psychology at HELP University grew with more services offered to students and staff, and culminated in the establishment of programmes and degrees, and a faculty that specialises in Psychology and Behavioural Sciences.

The Faculty of Behavioural Sciences is actively involved with World Vision Malaysia, and UNICEF in many projects, notably the World Vision 30 Hour Famine, and other research projects.

Business Studies Department

HELP University College's Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree was recently accredited by CPA Australia, making it the first private university college in Malaysia to have one of its degrees to be accredited by CPA Australia.

Graduates of HELP's Bachelor of Business (Accounting) programme can apply to be an associate member of CPA Australia without having to sit for the qualifying exam.

HELP's Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree is also recognised by the United Kingdom ICAEW and ACCA for full credit exemptions.

The University of London External Programme

HELP was the first educational institution in the world to offer the University of London External Programme’s Diploma in Economics outside of the United Kingdom back in 1986. The University of London External Programme is administered by the London School of Economics and Political Science.

HELP Academy and HELP International College of Technology (HICT) were awarded the prestigious affiliate status by the University of London in 2009. The HELP Group therefore has 2 affiliate status out of the 21 awarded to institutions throughout the world.

Many University of London External Programme students at HELP have won numerous scholarships such as the External Scholarship and Standard Chartered Scholarships to continue their studies at the London School of Economics, and at the University of Cambridge. External Programme students wanting to transfer to the United Kingdom to study are also much favoured and sought after by other top universities.

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting and Finance currently receives eight subject exemptions from the United Kingdom ACCA.

The degrees are awarded by the University of London, which maintains quality assurance mechanisms to ensure that candidates granted degrees and other awards have attained the same academic standard irrespective of mode or place of study or examination.
