According to the RKD He was baptized in the St.Jacobskerk in 1617 and married Catharina Lodewijcx in 1650. According to De Bie he was still alive and living in Antwerp at the time of publication (1661). No known works survive - all portraits previously attributed to him have since been reattributed to others. The later biographer Jacob Campo Weyerman
