Gyrochronological age
Encyclopedia
The gyrochronological age of a star is determined by using the rate at which the star spins (every star slows down over time) to find its true age. The process of the star was presented by Søren Meibom, who used data collected by the Kepler spacecraft to present his findings in 2010 after he analyzed cluster NGC 6811.
