Grover Whitehurst

Grover Whitehurst is the former director of the Institute of Education Sciences
(IES), which is the research arm of the United States Department of Education
. He served in this position from November 2001 through November 2008.
Prior to this position, Whitehurst served as Lead Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
He currently serves as the Director of the Brown Center on Education Policy at the Brookings Institute.
