Structure

The Group runs a first grade, reserve grade, under 18s and under 16s competition under the Wests Cup name. All seven first grade clubs run at least one lower grade team and most will have three or four. In addition to the seven first grade clubs there are also two junior clubs involved in under 18s and under 16s - Farrer and Werris Creek/Quirindi.

It also runs a second division competition called the Wests Shield. The second division competition includes stand-alone senior teams from smaller towns within the region, although Werris Creek and Quirindi combine to form junior teams in the under 16s and under 18s Cup competitions.

There is also a Group 4 senior and Under 18 representative team that competes against other Group sides. The Under 18s side competes against Groups 2 and 3 in trials for the Oxley Pioneers regional team. The senior team competes in the Country Rugby League Championships against other Group sides from around the Country Rugby League.
