Greg grew up in Connersville, IN and graduated at Connersville High School in 1974. While in high school Greg was a member of the first student television newscast which was pre-recorded in 1970. Greg is now a member of the Connersville High School Hall of Fame. After high school Greg went to Western Kentucky University

 majoring in speech and mass communications. While a sophomore in college he began working in radio.

Since 1979 Greg has been the "Voice of the Colonels" for the Eastern Kentucky University

 football and men's basketball team. Since starting announcing for EKU Greg has called FCS (formerly 1-AA) football National Championships and the Colonels appearances in the 2005 and 2007 NCAA Basketball Tournament. Greg also produces and hosts weekly coach's shows that air during the basketball and football seasons.Greg started working at ABC's affiliate WTVQ in Lexington, KY in May 1987 where he is a reporter.
Greg now lives in Richmond, KY with his wife Paula. He has three stepchildren: Amber , David and Kylee. His hobbies are traveling, reading, and hiking.
