 found the risks as too great and decided against it. Greg decided to leave town immediately, which his sister objected to, however after being confronted by both Rachel and Shaun, Greg chose to stay. When Matthew sued his parents for the right to have the surgery, Greg told Matthew that he would testify on his behalf, angering Rachel. At Nora and Clint's wedding reception, Greg accused Rachel of sticking with Shaun because he was safe, not because she loved him, and Rachel threw a drink in his face. During Matthew's court case, Greg testified that Nora and Bo were scared to let Matthew have the surgery. Rachel jumped up and demanded to testify, saying Greg was speaking about her and not Matthew's parents. Matthew's attorney brought up Rachel's sordid past, including her drug abuse and conviction for killing Georgie Phillip, and Rachel ran from the courtroom in tears. When Greg followed her, Rachel confessed that she was living a sheltered life out of fear for all the bad things she's done in her life. Greg and Rachel then shared a passionate kiss, and Rachel decided she would break it off with Shaun before she could hurt him any more. Before Rachel could breck it off with Shaun, he was shot while protecting Starr and her child Hope and rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. With the help of his brother Greg, Shaun came out alive. Greg and his family's joy was short lived as Shaun soon found himself in a coma due to a bullet fragment logged in his brain. Greg became devastated and vowed never to perform another surgery again even after Matthew wins the right to have is surgery. Greg however did recommend a surgeon in Seattle on to Matthew. Greg agreed to look in on the surgery. after a hurt Rachel was urged by Nora not to come with them to Seattle, she was comforted by Greg. Before they could have sex the two were summoned back to the hospital as Shaun awoke from his coma. Their trip to the hospital took a turn for the worst when Mrs. Evan after sensing that Greg had feelings for Rachel, told Greg that is was in Shaun's Best interest if he stay away from Rachel. Rachel agreed to go on a date with Shaun but in the end couldn't go through with it and admitted to Shaun that she wasn't in love with him. Shaun asked if she was in love with Greg, but Rachel avoided the question. In the park, Rachel told Greg she didn't want to pursue a relationship with Greg for fear of hurting Shaun. Shaun saw them kiss and lashed out at them, warning Rachel that Greg will
get bored with her and move on to another woman. After much begging from Destiny, Shaun went to Greg and asked him to help in Matthew's surgery, which he obliged. Later Rachel moved in to an apartment with her colleague Schuyler Joplin which didn't go over will with Greg. When bottle of Ocytocin is stolen, Greg without hesitation points his finger at Schuyler. He took his theory to Rachel who insisted on Schuyler's innocents. Greg and Rachel soon break it off after Rachel relentlessly defends Schuyler. Rachel left Llanview to help a relapsed ex of hers.  soon found herself in Greg's care after fainting in court. Greg identified the cause as a brain tumor. Greg begans recommending radiation treatments which can help in shrinking the tumor, however after month the treatments prove unsuccessful. Greg then comes to the conclusion that after multiple accounts of memory loss, her tumor is more fatal then he thought and that she has only weeks to live. To help her final days along, Greg suggests a hospice in St. Kitts. It soon becomes apparent that Greg was ordered by Elijah Clarke

with help from Shaun, make it to the hospice only to be told by Greg that they were too late, which made Shaun suspicions of Greg. Because of his guilty conscience, it is revealed that Greg saved Tea by putting her in a slight coma to heal her and moved her from St. Kitts to Cherryvale to hide her from Eli. After Tea awoke Greg explained that her tumor had disappeared and she was healed. Greg soon returned to St. Kitts and was greeted by Eli whom was thought to be dead. After evaluating Eli, Greg discovered that a pool of blood accumulated at the back of his head, this however was a lie to get Eli on the surgery table to kill him. Eli became aware of his lie and refused the surgery. With no other options attempted to inject Eli with lethal dose of morphine however Greg got the dose instead. Greg was rushed back to Llanview in a coma. Eli became aware that Greg had survived and attempted to kill him by drugging his IV. Before any harm could be done to him, it was discovered by Dr. Vivian. Wanting to come clean, Greg told his parents that he wanted to truth to become know to both Destiny and Shaun. As they all stood together, Phylicia, Richard revealed that Destiny is not their biological child but that she is Greg's child. after starting medical school he had gotten a girl named Charlene pregnant but he however did not wish to keep the child so instead his parents raised her. This women however turned out to be Shaun's old girlfriend whom Greg had gotten close with while trying to work on Shaun's appeal. Greg then revealed that he had killed Charlene. Charlene had hit her head after a confrontation with Greg. he disposed of her body and never told his parents. Greg soon reveals this truth to an upset Destiny. With help from Nora, Greg gets the light sentence of 6 years in Statesville Prison. He is not aware that he's going to be a grandfather; via Destiny.
