On August 13, 2003, it was reported that after they fired a part of the band and subsequently had been dropped off the remainder of the Ozzfest tour, their label withdrew their tour support. After that, nothing much was heard from them until mid-2004, when they moved to Las Vegas and joined up with former Pinata bassist Stitch, drummer Wade Hagblom, and former American Head Charge

via "Sound Barrier Records". Shortly after, they parted ways with Hagblom and Zilch, and replaced Hagblom with drummer Josh Garcia.

On August 4, 2008, the band posted a blog on their MySpace page signaling the end of Grade 8, stating "I think we are just ready to do other things, and we wanted to leave Grade 8 the way it was, not change the sound.". The blog goes on to state that they had started a new project called "The Kill Generation", although nothing has been heard of the project since the blog was posted.
