Gorham High School received national media attention on January 4, 2008, when the administration was forced to cancel classes for a day after an apparent senior prank

Academics

Gorham High offers a diverse curriculum including AP courses and electives to adequately prepare students for college, as well as vocational programs to prepare students to enter specific careers.

Theatre

In the Spring of 2011, Gorham High school took 1st place at the Regional One Acts Class A Competition and then 1st place at the State One Acts Class A Competition with Eben Benson's play 'horse man', which is based on a true story from 1916 about the execution of a circus elephant named Mary in the small town of Erwin, Tennessee.
