"Glenn started playing professionally at age 16 in a piano bar. Over his early years he performed and toured with bluesmen Sonny Rhodes, Johnny Copeland, and jazz great Richie Cole. In 1987 he joined forces with David Clayton Thomas and Blood Sweat and Tears where he remained until 1995. Glenn then joined the rock alternative band Ween where hes done 3 world tours and recorded 5 albums. In 2006 Mac returned to Blood Sweat and Tears where he remains currently. He is endorsed by Crown amplifiers."

He has a son named Charles Glenn McClelland who is following in his footsteps.
