Club Career

Saville is one of the NBL's most versatile players and at times he is called upon to man any position on the court using a combination of size, strength and speed to handle whatever match-up the opposition throws his way. His career began at the AIS

 in 1995. After an impressive rookie season he competed for Australia at the Junior World Championships. Saville continued to develop as a player was named as captain of the Hawks in 2000. A year later he led Wollongong to an NBL championship victory and was named as the Larry Sengstock

After twelve dominating years with the Hawks, Saville declined to sign with Wollongong and instead signed as a free agent with the Sydney Kings

 for the 07/08 NBL season. On 18 June 2008, the Wollongong Hawks announced that they had signed Saville after the termination of the Sydney Kings.

Saville had his iconic #12 singlet retired by the Wollongong Hawks upon the completion of the 2008/2009 season. He is one of only four Illawarra–Wollongong players to have received this honour.

. With this experience of playing against the world's elite he produced career-best numbers and finished third in the overall voting for the MVP award; the following season he finished fourth. In 2004 Saville was a part of the Boomers squad that played in the Olympic Games and was a key contributor to the success of the Boomers. However in 2005 Glen was key factor in the Hawks' push to the Grand Final in season 2005, averaging a career high 17.8 ppg during the regular season as well as 9.4 rpg and 3.8 apg. But it was not enough and the Hawks eventually lost to the Sydney Kings
