It was founded in 1993 by a merger between Gibson City High School and Melvin-Sibley High School.

The current enrollment is about 1000. The newest facility, the middle school, was built in 2000.

The principal of the middle school is Jeremy Darnell.
The principal of the High School is Michael "Miky" Lindy.
