. Geoff came to New Zealand in 1947 as the New Zealand Government was recruiting veterinary surgeons. Originally he worked and practised in Warkworth

 and surrounding area, where he lived with his family. In more recent years, he had been living in Titirangi. He is an honorary life member of the New Zealand Veterinary Association. In 1994 he was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his services to the veterinary profession and photography.

Geoff Moon died on Friday March 13, 2009 at the age of 93.
