Attractions

The village will be insignificant in Nellore district with out the following two things.
  • Gandipalem state reservoir: The dam was built here to save many villages in Udaygiri Mandal from femine in summer season and to support irrigation for around 600 km² in faraway places from river Pennar. The main source of the reservoir is river Manneru, a tributary to Pennar. The 130 km length River Manneru starts near Pillipalli village of Kanigiri taluk of Prakasam district. Dokkalavagu, Uppuvagu, Pillaperu and Upputeru are the main tributaries of this river.
  • Government Residential School: It is a Gurukula Patasala
