G-Force Accelerator
Encyclopedia
G-Force Accelerator is an attraction at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. It spins rapidly, causing riders to experience three times the force of gravity. During the ride, riders rise up out of their seat temporarily. At the attraction's peak, riders' chairs will rise to the ceiling. The ride recently caused a child that was attending Space Academy, a version of space camp for older children, to get his finger caught between two seats that were unusually close together. His right hand index finger's skin, muscle, tendons, and ligament were crushed, but he returned to camp that night.
