Fritz Rentrop was born on the 19 November 1917. He joined the NSDAP on the 1 January 1936, party number 3708280 and later joined the Waffen SS on the 1 April 1937, his SS service number was 323 804.
He was posted to the 2nd SS Panzer Division Das Reich
