The old stadium had a long history since it was built in the 1920s. But it was nonetheless highly worn out and out of date at the end. There are currently plans to tear the entire stadium down, and use the area to build flats and/or offices. These plans are however not confirmed, and the stadium currently works as the home venue for the reserves and the junior squad.
