Frederick Page

Sir Frederick William Page CBE FRS FREng (20 February 1917 - 29 May 2005) was an English aircraft designer. He had large involvements with two British aircraft projects - the Lightning and the TSR2.

Life

Page was assistant to W.E.W. Petter, Chief Engineer at English Electric

. When Petter left EE in 1950, Page took over.

He was appointed CBE in 1961, and knighted in 1979. He became a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering

 in 1977 and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1978.
