. The school was originally dedicated as Benjamin Franklin Intermediate School in 1984, and renamed to Benjamin Franklin Middle School in the early 1990s. It teaches seventh and eight grade, and as of September 2006, accommodates 925 students. The school colors are blue and white. It has four sports teams.

The current principal is Sharon Eisenberg and the mascot is a falcon.
