Public transportation

During most of Ft. Howard's days of operation, it was served by public transportation, including streetcars and buses on various lines (see History of MTA Maryland

In 1993, MTA eliminated all bus service to Ft. Howard, and arranged for a private contractor to provide service to the facility. MTA restored its own service to Ft. Howard in 1997, but eliminated it again in 1998.
