Five Branches University was founded on February 4, 1984 by Liu Ming, Ron Zaidman and Joanna Zhao.

Educational philosophy

Five Branches University programs emphasize traditional Chinese medical theory and diagnosis, acupuncture, herbology, and Western medicine as applied to and being part of integrated healthcare. Five Branches University made their goal making the views and methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine a part of world medicine.
