History

FishHawk is a community of two subdivisions "Mini Communities" located in Lithia, Florida.

FishHawk Trails and "FishHawk Ranch, formerly operated as a ranch" are two subdivisions in the community, built by two different companies in the 1990s more development is planned for FishHawk Ranch.

Before both subdivisions were constructed Fishhawk Trails, originally was a wooded location through which a CSX Transportation

 rail track path, passed through the current area of where the subdivison is currently located today, the rail tracks were removed in the late 1980s.

FishHawk Ranch, originally was a cow pasture and a wooded location, CSX Transportation stored their rail cars at the current location of this subdivision, the rail tracks at this location were also removed in the late 1980s.

In the 1900s, the area where FishHawk Trails and FishHawk Ranch are located today, there use to be a train station that was the main import/export area of supplies and food for Lithia, Florida. The train station still exists to this day and is used as a private business.
