FiOS1

FiOS1 is a group of regional networks available exclusively on Verizon's FiOS TV. These networks provide local news and live sports coverage. Currently three networks exist, but there are plans to expand to additional areas served by FiOS in the future. The first FiOS1 channel was launched for FiOS subscribers in the Washington Metropolitan Area (including Maryland and Northern Virginia) on March 31, 2007.

On June 22, 2009 two additional networks serving New Jersey and Long Island were launched. Respectively, these networks include content produced by the New Jersey Network

FiOS1 Sunrise airs weekday mornings from 5am-10am. On-air personalities include Stone Grissom (news anchor), Brian Fitzgerald (weather), and Kristina Behr (traffic & entertainment). In the January 2011 edition of The Long Island Press, Stone Grissom was named by readers as the second most popular TV reporter in the area. Brian Fitzgerald was awarded the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval in 2010 for excellence in television broadcasting.
