Festival of the Sun
Encyclopedia
Festival of the Sun is an annual outdoor music festival held in December at the Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park[1], Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia. It was first held in 2001 and first ticketed in 2005.[2]
A celebration of the east coast summer culture and Australian Music, the festival makes full use of the unique location - right on Town Beach, the existing facilities of the Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park[1], and the central location next to the CBD. The festival completed its third year in 2007 to a sellout crowd. Since then, FOTSUN has continued to grow, attracting sell-out crowds and boasting an impressive line-up of breakthrough and up-coming artists, as well as some of the biggest names in the Australian music industry. Coming up to its 6th ticketed year, FOTSUN has firmly established itself as one of Australia’s coolest, most intimate BYO music festivals.
The Festival of the Sun website provides information about the event and artists, including festival announcements, ticket and camping event details and links to artist’s music pages.
