Fernando & Sorocaba are a country music duo from Brazil. Fernando is Fernando Zorzanello Boniface (born April 21, 1984 in Ji-Paraná-RO) and Sorocaba is the stage name of Fakra Fernando de Assis (born September 15, 1980 in São Paulo-SP). Fernando began singing when he was living in Cuiabá-MT, where he moved at age 15 and Sorocaba when he was on the faculty of agronomy in London. He earned that nickname because it was created in the city of Sorocaba, São Paulo.

Career

Sorocaba moved to London where he attended College of Agriculture, and there he achieved recognition for his compositions.

In 2008, their first success came with the release of the CD and DVD Silver Bullet. The pair was certified Gold Record ABPD with the Silver Bullet DVD, which sold over 50,000 copies in Brazil.

The following year, in 2009, they released the album Whirlwind.

In 2009, the duo debuted Som Livre Fernando & Sorocaba—Acoustic.

In August 2010, the duo recorded the third DVD of their career, in Campina Grande do Sul, metropolitan region of Curitiba.
