Zobel is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Ayala Corporation, the holding company of the Ayala group. He is also the Chairman of Ayala Land. The Ayala Land is the Philippines' largest real estate firm and its only complete line property developer. In addition, he is one of the leader of the boards of the other Ayala Group companies. He is also a member of the World Economic Forum, the Habitat for Humanity International Advisory Group for Asia Pacific, the INSEAD East Asia Council and the International Council of Shopping Centers Board of Trustees. Currently, Zobel also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Philippine Development Foundation, a public charity that focuses on building an ecosystem of science and technology-based entrepreneurship and innovation for social and economic development in the Philippines.
