Origin of the name of the village
The name of the village comes from the Hungarian word: debrő which means: "wide, plane, flat floor valley". It may have a connection with the word debra which means "waterflown valley" in Slavic dialects.Sightseeing
In the Árpád age the village belonged to the Aba family. It may have a centre of this genus, because the main importance of the church is where a Hungarian king was entombed.
