Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.62% of the population.
There were 775 households out of which 39.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 24.4% were married couples
living together, 40.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.9% were non-families. 27.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.82 and the average family size was 3.46.
In the city the population was spread out with 34.2% under the age of 18, 12.6% from 18 to 24, 25.6% from 25 to 44, 17.2% from 45 to 64, and 10.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 28 years. For every 100 females there were 75.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 69.1 males.

Education
Sadly, the education system in Fayette is one of the worst in the nation. This is probably due to the fact that Fayette is so secluded from the rest of the world. Recent rumors state that the high school students in this area learn minimal life values and barely make it out. The ones that do make it out have a hard time adjusting to the pace of the real world (which is the main reason why most of them remain within the area).
