in the championship game 57-46. The next season the school moved up to class C2. During the 2004-05 basketball season, the girls basketball team completed an undefeated run to the State Basketball Championship game where they fell to West Point Central Catholic High School 44-72. Exeter-Milligan has had 5 girls basketball teams qualify for state. They qualified in the 2004, 05, 06, 09, and 2011 seasons. In 2005, Exeter-Milligan and Fillmore Central High School agreed to create a consolidated softball team. Their first season together, the FC/EM Panther softball team won the 2005 Nebraska Class C State Softball Championship finishing their season 34-1. The Panther softball team has qualified for state in 2005, 2008, 2010, and 2011. In more recent years, Exeter-Milligan claimed its fourth state championship. The Exeter-Milligan girls high school volleyball team won the 2009 Nebraska Class D1 State High School Volleyball Championships, sweeping their way through the state tournament and finishing the season 27-5. Exeter-Milligan has had six volleyball teams qualify for state in 2004,05,06,09,10, and 2011. At the 2006 Nebraska State Track and Field Championships Exeter-Milligan had a female athlete claim the 100m and 300m hurdles Class C State Championship while the 4x4 girl's team claimed 2nd place. At the 2010 Nebraska State Track and Field Championships Exeter-Milligan had its top boys pole vaulter claim the Class D State Championship with a vault of 13 feet 2 inches. In the 2010 Nebraska State Volleyball Tournament in Grand Island, the Timberwolves capped off a 33-1 season by winning the 2010 Class D1 State Volleyball Championship. This is the Timberwolves second consecutive state volleyball championship. At the 2011 Nebraska State Volleyball Tournament, the Timberwolves reached their third consecutive finals match, but fell short against Humphrey. Exeter-Milligan lost in 4 sets and claimed the 2011 Class D1 State Volleyball Runner-Up trophy. The Lady Timberwolves volleyball team finished the 2011 campaign with a 32-2 record. Over the past three seasons the volleyball team has compiled an impressive 92-8 record.
