Aside from releasing multiple mixtapes that gained heavy rotations in college radio stations and internet radios, EXP has gained notoriety for involvement in feuds with other Korean artists.

Music career

He became a member of The Movement in 2001. In 2007 he released his first USA radio single, Like That, which was produced by former member of (DEUX), Lee Hyun Do a.k.a D.O. The single received spins throughout Atlanta radio stations. In addition to his solo works, EXP made numerous guest appearances internationally throughout Japan

EXP was briefly signed to Tiger JK's Jungle Entertainment in 2008 and Warner Music Korea under D.O from Deux. He also worked with popular K-Pop producer Seung Wook Yang (Producer of Click-B's Oh Jong Hyuk and ezllife) and Cutting Records Producer David Park.

H.O.T

On the track "Target Practice", which appears on his Korean debut a Promise and a Threat cassette tape, EXP calls H.O.T a "Homosexuality Oriented Teenagers". After the legal issues surrounding the slander of image and brand name H.O.T, the song does not appear on the CD version of the album.

MC K

In 2002, EXP releases a skit Drunken Camp Radio questioning MC K's background. EXP mimicked MC K's flow and vocal tone, making a mockery out of the artist. EXP later admits that it was for the promotion of his soon to be released mixtape Imperial Vol. 1 and not a personal issue.

Snacky Chan and Organic Thoughts

In 2003, EXP. was involved in a highly publicized feud with Snacky Chan and Organic Thoughts. The feud was characterized by Snacky Chan and El Gambina of Organic Thoughts comment on artists in Korea, and EXP's reply on "Shoot II Kill" over Tupac Shakur

's Ride on My Enemies instrumental. The feud was squashed by fellow Korean American Rapper, DYP Tha Goldynchild who also stopped EXP trying to crash Organic Thought's set with his entourage.

 records a disrespectful verse against Yang Hyun Suk, the C.E.O of YG Entertainment. EXP releases They Want War, which disses Y.G Family, Snacky Chan and El Gambina. In 2006, Masta Wu's track Move Man dissing Drunken Tiger

gains media's attention and according to Korean Hip Hop Websites, EXP recorded a song Funeral song, answering back for his crew even though his name was deliberately left out of the song by Masta Wu. EXP later commented that the song was never made and he and Masta Wu are actually good acquaintances.

After this incident, EXP gave an interview to Drunken Camp, in which he stated that the feud with YG Family were exaggerated by the media, and was not a 'beef'.
