Bartlett had been a training player with the Wildcats for the 2010/11 NBL season and received the call-up to officially join the playing group as an injury-waiver replacement after starting the 2011/12 season also as a training player. The 25-year-old previously spent time with the New Zealand Breakers as a development player, but never made an NBL debut with the club.
