in 1976 with her late husband Steven. Over the past 36 years, she has appeared in, as well as directed over 100 productions at ITC. Etel's other Chicago area theatre credits include roles at The Goodman, Wisdom Bridge, Court, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Candlelight, Forum and Body Politic Theatres. She is also active in film and TV work, and currently teaches theatre at Prairie State College. Etel has served as the President of the Southland Regional Arts Council and as a member of the Theatre Advisory Panel of the Illinois Arts Council. She has received numerous awards for her contributions to the arts.
