Eskayef Bangladesh Limited (SK+F), a successor of Smith Kline and French in Bangladesh was acquired by TRANSCOM in 1990, is one of the leading and fastest growing pharmaceutical company of Bangladesh, which is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of a wide range of therapeutic drugs, bulk pellets and animal health and nutrition products with annual sales surpassing 60 million US dollars. With qualified, trained and skilled professionals on its staff and its unswerving standards of quality control, the company has distinguished itself as one of the most respected names in the pharmaceutical industry. Eskayef is growing more global and exporting its products and bulk pellets to 15 countries across 4 continents. Presently Eskayef is also marketing eye care products of Allergan Inc. SK+F is now one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh and is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of a wide range of therapeutic drugs, bulk pellets and animal health and nutrition products. At present, the company has annual sales turnover of more than BDT. 4.50 billion. Rapid business growth since its inception has propelled Eskayef to a position of eminence among the pharmaceutical companies operating in Bangladesh today. It manufactures and markets 126 pharmaceutical products in 294 dosage forms and has established 22 products as the brand leader in the market. Owing to its qualified, trained and skilled professionals and through its unswerving standards of quality control, Eskayef is now one of the most respected names in the pharmaceutical industry of Bangladesh.

Eskayef is an extremely quality driven and scientific information based company. Its manufacturing facility at Tongi has achieved the approval from the UK MHRA (United Kingdom Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) and TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration), Australia. Eskayef is the only company in Bangladesh to get both UK MHRA and TGA, Australia accreditation. Under the contract manufacturing deal between Eskayef Bangladesh Ltd, a leading local pharmaceutical company and the world's biggest insulin maker Novo Nordisk, a high-tech insulin manufacturing plant has been opened at Tongi amid hopes of providing world-class medicines to the country's growing diabetic patients. The plant is the third set up by Novo Nordisk in Asia after China and India. The tie-ups among Eskayef, Novo Nordisk and Diabetic Association would make a significant difference in looking after the patients with diabetes.

In 2005, Eskayef began exporting bulk pellets (using equipment from the specialist UK based spheronization company Caleva Process Solutions) and finished products to Asia, Africa, and Central America and is in the process of exporting to European countries. The company also has ties with the eye-care company Allergan Inc. of Ireland.

Agrovet products

Since its inception in 2001, the Agrovet Division has been manufacturing and marketing a wide range of therapeutic and nutritional products for poultry, livestock and fish. It also markets and sells soil micronutrients for crops, vegetables and tea plantations. The Agrovet Division has been exporting its products to Guatemala and Nepal as the pioneering exporter from Bangladesh of animal health and nutritional products since 2005.
