 (LHSAA). ESA supports several sports including cross-country, boys' and girls' soccer, boys' basketball, baseball, swimming, track and field, and boys' and girls' tennis. The girls' volleyball team holds a national record of 16 consecutive state-championships. While the school lacks a football team, it does have a full boy's rugby team under the leadership of Coach and History Chair Brian McIntyre. ESA's rugby team (also known as Legion Rugby Football Club) won the state championship in 2006, and three years later in 2009.
