In late 2009, EU Skills was awarded an "Outstanding" status by the UKCES following a National Audit Office Inspection. They are regarded as one of the top performing Sector Skills Councils (reference required).

The organisation has a widespread reputation for being a progressive company and an excellent organisation to work for (reference required).

Employer-led, EU Skills has been working with the power sector to establish the National Skills Academy for Power. The name of the Chief Executive is Steve Davies, who also sits on the EU Skills Executive team alongside the directors and Chief Executive.
